A successful landscape begins long before construction. It starts with listening, asking the right questions, and making thoughtful decisions early.
At Ceara Studio, our process is designed to create clarity from the beginning. Every phase builds on the one before it, reducing uncertainty and helping the project move forward with confidence. From the first conversation through construction, we remain your guide, coordinating the details and keeping the vision intact every step of the way.
How We Work

Pre-Design
Studying the site before shaping the vision
We start by getting to know your property—gathering and reviewing surveys, plans, and any existing details—so we can create a clear picture of the site and establish the foundation for design. This becomes the groundwork for the next phase.

Schematic Design
Defining the vision for how the property comes together
This is where ideas start to take shape. Based on what we’ve learned from you, we explore the big picture—how spaces flow, connect, and feel across the property—setting the overall vision before getting into the details.

Design Development
Selecting details that support the design intent
At this stage, we select materials, build our team of consultants, and make sure everything works as beautifully as it looks. We also involve a trusted contractor early in the process so as we prepare drawings and specifications, pricing and execution stay closely aligned with the design.

Construction Documentation
& Permitting
Preparing documentation needed to build the project
Once the design is confirmed, we prepare detailed drawings and specifications for both permitting and construction. These documents capture the full design intent and ensure a smooth transition into installation.

Construction Management
Guiding the installation from vision to reality
As the landscape is built, we stay closely involved—coordinating with contractors, answering questions, and reviewing progress. We bridge design and construction, making sure everything is carried through as intended, so you don’t have to worry about the details.
