This classic shingled home, with its warm roof lines and stone-accented entrance, already had plenty of charm. What they needed was a more usable space since the backyard's significant grade made it feel inaccessible. We reclaimed the front by removing driveway paving and extended the back of the house with a new deck — small moves that turned an oversized entry and a neglected side yard into space the entire family will actually use.
